I sat next to sweet Leah of Freutcake at Alt Summit, not completely realizing her awesomeness until one night at Alt, someone said “OMG, I just spotted Leah from Freutcake. I really want to meet her.” And I was like “That cute girl there?” And she was like “Yes.” I said, “Oh, I sat with her all day and chatted. I’ll introduce you. She’s great!”
There we are, looking oh so serious. We also took a cab together as we both stayed at different hotels from most of the bloggers since we brought our hubbies with us. She is super down to earth and I got to know her a bit, but the more I read about her everywhere from Style Me Pretty Living to Splendid and so many more places after I got home, I’ve realized she’s a bit of a blog celebrity. Boy am I glad I didn’t know that when I first met her. :) So much easier to form a nice little friendship without the celebrity status making me nervous.
OK, but what is this about, you ask? Leah is teaching a blog course in Los Angeles called Freutcamp and I SO wish I could attend. Since I can’t, maybe I can share it with someone out there who will be able to make it. Leah’s style from fashion to home design to food and drinks is impeccable and I greatly respect her aesthetic.
