I’m all about the same look for less money. We bought the Pottery Barn Kids Rugby Stripe duvet cover in green for Bodhi’s new big boy room. While we love it, I was a bit sad when I came across some other fabulous options for significantly less money. And I can’t return what we have because I had it personalized. Ugh! But, you can totally score these deals on Twin size solid striped duvet covers for yourself or your little ones.
1. Target Rugby striped duvet cover in navy (also available in red) ($19.99)-Tiffany gets all the credit for this find. She sent me a link to this fabulous option after I posted our inspiration board. Of course, I had already ordered the personalized one.
2. Ikea Springkorn in six colors ($14.99)-I found this on one of my many Ikea stops in recent weeks and thought they looked pretty fabulous. The price can’t be beat and with six color choices, these could work for most room designs.
3. Ikea Nypronros in three colors ($29.99)-This one is made up of thinner more subtle stripes, but is still a solid option. I came across so many great ones at Ikea so I’m sure I’ll feature more soon.
4. West Elm stripe duvet cover in three colors ($59)-while not significantly less expensive, you can save a bit here and they have a citron color not available anywhere else.
When searching for modern clean boy bedding, I came across the cutest options for girls too. I’ll post some affordable modern girl bedding options here soon.
I like the look of your personalized one! I JUST bought the navy striped one from Target for our little guy’s big boy room (eventually) because it’s actually on clearance right now for $8! I don’t know if all Targets have it, but the few around me did.
Abbey! So smart to pick it up now. I love that one! I may even pick it up as backup.
Jess… rule #1 in decorating, fashion, life… once you have bought it (and it’s not returnable) STOP looking!!! ;)
I swear, after my wedding I kept looking at wedding sites and kicking myself over all the little details I should have included. Then, my best friend put her foot down and “cut me off”. I have never been happier… well, until a good friend asked me to be her wedding planner/designer. There goes my ability to not wish I had done things for my wedding!!!!
But, regarding Bodhi’s bedspread… I think yours was the cutest anyway.
I like the IKEA one, but nothing can compare to the simplicity of that bold rugby stripe in that great green color. :)
Jaymi! You are so right about this, but I can’t help myself. :) Also, I want to hear more about your wedding planning for your friend!
Jess, I would love to share what I am doing for the wedding with you and get your feedback!!! It’s a destination wedding… but trying not to do typical “beach” stuff since my friend is super urban and modern. So far, just finished designing the invitations, went to puerto vallarta and picked flowers, linens, location of the ceremony, etc…. It’s so great to do this after I have already had my own wedding that was SO different in feeling. But, I don’t need to tell you… you do this all the time!
I’m with the others– love the green and personalization! But I totally understand where you’re coming from!! On another note, Where is B’s “B” pillow from?
Hey lady! Thank you so much! The pillow is from Land of Nod!
And PS– you know i can’t wait to see your girl options!!
I know I thought for the price I couldn’t pass it up. We may use it in our guest room until he’s ready for it because I love it so. I’m also looking forward to what you found for girl options!! :)
