I love creating parties and entertaining ideas that are quick, easy and delicious!

Hosting friends for the big game is my favorite! It’s all about the food, but fun, festive and easy decor never hurts.

I went with a color palette of black, white, green and brown. I kept it dark and moody and created simple printable banners to showcase my food station with EAT, DIP and SIP. Free printable EAT, DIP, SIP banners are available for printing here.

Creating three tasty and fun dips with SNICKERS®, Skittles®, Pepsi™, TOSTITOS® chips and salsa for game day was fast and tasty. I love focusing on one or two things for a party and this focus on dips was something new for me.

Let’s talk about this party, shall we?

Decorations

  • Store-bought containers. Football themed cups for dip, napkins and football popcorn containers were perfect Additions. I used our white dinner and appetizer plates as the main plates. I love mixing and matching store-bought with things I own plus a few DIY items.

  • Backdrop. I used black bulletin board paper as our backdrop and simply combined a store-bought bunting with our free printables.
  • Simple table decor. A few football cutouts and a black and white striped table runner were just what we needed at the table.

  • Add interest. Little black trays held our beverages and chips. This was an easy way to keep the black and white going without much work. The paper straws added to the fun too.

While I love to DIY most things, store-bought items can look fabulous when put together well.

As I said before, we stuck with dips for the food. We made an easy  no cheese “queso” dip with chips, a lemony Skittles® dip that’s perfect with sugar cookies and a peanut butter SNICKERS® dip that tastes amazing with tart green apples, pretzels of sugar cookies and I’ll be honest. It tastes pretty great on a spoon too. ;)
