One of the must-have items we’ve already taken care of is our Diaper Genie. Oh the diaper genie. I’m going to go ahead and tell you, we were pretty clueless first timers. First of all, I remember thinking we didn’t really “need” a genie. Mind you I brought Genevieve, my first child, home in December and I live in the Northeast. I suppose I was going to run outside in subzero temps 15 times a day with dirty diapers. Uh uh.
To further illustrate our cluelessness: new to using the genie, we panicked thinking it had broken. Why? Because we couldn’t get a diaper in. Turns out, it wasn’t broken—it was just full.
Clearly we did not imagine that we had already changed the baby that many times! Luckily my sister-in-law (while trying not to treat us as the rookies we were) had stopped by and replaced the refill. Now pregnant with our third baby, I laugh at how much we didn’t know that first time around! We learned pretty quickly that the diaper genie was definitely a necessity. I loved the convenience of being able to toss the diapers in and twist. So simple and not a whiff of baby poo.
We were lucky enough to get a few Diaper Genie refills as gifts which is a great idea and that brings me to some good news for YOU–whether you’ve got a little one on the way, a newbie in diapers, or a baby shower to attend. We’ve partnered with Target and Diaper Genie to present you with this fun offer: While supplies last, you can get a $25 Spa Wellness gift card for purchasing Diaper Genie refills.
All you have to do is:
1. Head to Target.
2. Purchase THREE diaper Genie refills and save your receipt.
3. Go to this site, follow the instructions, and get your $25 spa wellness gift card.
This isn’t a rebate—I’m talking immediate gratification! You simply follow the instructions on the spa wellness site, they verify your receipt, and bingo- the gift card is yours. A $25 spa gift card for buying something you would have purchased anyway? Score. A spa wellness gift card (i.e. Relaxation) for yourself or a new mama (or mama-to-be in your life)? Yes please. A reason to go to Target? You’re welcome.
So hurry in as offer is only good while supplies last! I’m glad I’m stocked up with a few refills now…one more thing marked off the list while we prepare for baby!
Baby boy is expected to join our family in nine more weeks! When you’re managing a newborn and welcoming visitors the last thing you want to worry about is poo. Am I right or am I right?
