Surprise! We have a special post today that I’m SO excited about. We are celebrating our friend Melissa of Melissa Creates with a surprise online baby shower before she welcomes her sweet little boy in the next few weeks! Have you been to an online baby shower before? If not, welcome to our shower and get ready for some eye candy here and on the sites of all of my fabulous co-hosts!
Today I’m sharing a delicious Blood Orange Mint Mocktail Bar for the mama-to-be and our guests plus some easy DIY party favors.
I played off of the shower invite colors when choosing to use blood orange and mint, plus I love citrus flavors with mint.
Blood orange mint simple syrup, blood orange mimosa sorbet and sparkling water make for a delicious and refreshing mocktail float.
I kept the Mocktail bar simple and clean. The colors are fun so we didn’t need much in terms of details.
The tassel on the straw became a big part of my bar. I created several to embellish the bottles, straws and more.
I also created solid colored ones for the party favors.
They make lovely wine markers. Each guest receives a small bag of five, perfect for their next party and a very budget-friendly party favor since I used embroidery thread. You can find many DIY posts with instructions all over the web. These take minutes or less to create.
Party favors are one of my favorite parts of showers. I love planning something fun but simple and inexpensive. Melissa’s guests also receive a small bottle of Blood Orange Mint Simple Syrup, a party favor that costs pennies if you pick up some clearance bottles like I did.
I used store-bought flowers in white candle holders and would place these on tables as well.
I enjoyed hosting the Mocktail bar and party favors for our sweet friend Melissa of Melissa Creates. Raise a glass, friends!
Cheers to Melissa and her sweet baby boy!
