If you are starting to get in the holiday spirit and need something to do this weekend, I have a great Saturday planned for you. I LOVE Northeast Minneapolis. There is literally something for everyone in this neighborhood and the ambience doesn’t disappoint.

Plan to spend this Saturday at the 2009 Holiday Boutique Crawl in NE Minneapolis from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.! Grab a cup of coffee from Wilde Roast Cafe and walk the neighborhood. Honestly, you will feel fancy just being there. The shops are cute and perfect! The restaurants are delicious and cozy! This is a great way to spend the day alone or with someone special. Stop at Pizza Nea, The Bulldog or any of the other quaint spaces in this neighborhood for lunch. Stroll the sidewalks filled with small shops and great gift ideas. Many of these shops have fancy wrapping available as well, so save yourself some time! At the end of the day stop by Surdyk’s for their Heart Healthy Wine Sale going on all weekend. Stock up for the holidays with wine up to 40% off!

And on a completely random note, check out renttherunway.com. I signed up about a week ago and was accepted today-yes, you have to be accepted. You can rent couture dresses and clothing for special occasions starting at $50. These are $1000 plus dresses! I haven’t tried the service yet, but it seems great for very important occasions.

Any fancy ideas for this weekend or one in the future? Do you know of a great place to get fancy clothes at a good price or know of a great coupon? E-mail your ideas to livethefancylife@gmail.com. Live fancy this week!
