Hello! It’s been much too long since my last post. I am deep into planning for a number of fun events…our move to the new house next month, my 30th birthday, my husband’s birthday and Bodhi’s first birthday! Guess which one is getting most of my attention?
Yes, the little man wins again! It’s so much fun to plan and filled with cute, colorful details. And thanks to all of my bloggy friends and pinterest, I am soooo inspired!
For now, I wanted to share the super cute birthday party invitation above. It’s just one of many pieces of inspiration I’m finding. My friend and true inspiration, Emily Ley of Emily Ley Paper just hosted her son’s AMAZING first birthday party. I first met Emily at the Making Things Happen intensive in Watercolor, Florida in December of 2010. And since her son was born, Emily has been such a comfort and a mama mentor to many! Check out the rest of the party.
On another birthday-related note, I’m thrilled beyond words that I get to work with Wing of Canary Grey Photography for Bodhi’s birthday bash. Wing is the photographer for the big ONE and we couldn’t be happier. Although I enjoy taking photos, I feel like I miss all of the fun when I spend my time on photos and party planning simultaneously, so this time, I’m the party planner extraordinaire, detail diva and most importantly, the little man’s mama! Check out Wing’s recent work below!
First, she did maternity photos for local Minneapolis/St. Paul based blogger Jenna of Eat Drink Pretty. Beautiful! Check out her gorgeous nursery and the rest of the maternity session. Jenna highly recommended Wing so I knew I had to hire her since I already knew her from…
Thao! Thao owns Parc Boutique, a local gem of a shop. Thao is quite possibly the most chic, fashionable and sweet lady in all of Minneapolis and she’s expecting her first baby soon. Look at this beautiful shot of her sweet modern nursery and view the rest of the session! Love!
More of our birthday party details to come soon. I also have so much to show you once we get into the new home as we need to do some serious decorating and need to make most of it DIY! Have a lovely week!
