So much good stuff happening here. Miles’ Curious George themed second birthday party is featured over on Eat Drink Pretty today. And, it finally feels like Fall is here in Minnesota! And with that, I need your help! We are trying to start a lot of fun, warm, Autumn traditions with Bodhi. What are some of your favorite fall activities with or without kids?
I did a little photo shoot with Bodhi at the arboretum this week and he LOVED the leaves. He crunched them with his feet. He held them in his hands and threw a few into the river below us. We also plan to take him to a pumpkin patch/apple orchard/hay ride twice this fall–once with friends and once with my mom! And we are baking. A. LOT! Specifically, we are baking things that have cinnamon and pumpkins and apples-fall scents. It’s so bad for the waste line, yet so good for the soul!
Please shoot me an email or comment below with your favorite fall activities. I will write a post with all of the great suggestions in the coming weeks. While you’re at it, do you have any good ideas for keeping a toddler entertained in the house on cold snowy days? I’m writing a winter bucket list for my little family and would love to add to it!
Happy Friday!
With Kids: Dad would have us put pine cones in a paper bag (clean up the yard). Then we would paint them however we wanted. When we were older, we would spray paint the pine cones for a look mom could actually use on side tables and as center pieces.
Without Kids: The girls I went to UST with and I always go to a vineyard for wine tasting. Last year even included a grape stomp. It’s a carefree day filled with lots of fun pictures. With all our busy schedules, it’s nice to have an event where we don’t need to cook or prepare anything, we just need an open afternoon.
Thanks Lizzy! I love this idea!
Great photography and is it me or does your “little man” look 3 years old?! I’m eager to hear the results of your “query!” I’d love more ideas. So far our only traditions are a nearby fair and apple picking…
Hi!
My son likes to hold stones in his hands, feel them them and throw them a number of times! :) Also he likes to destroy poor roses which his grand father plants so lovingly!
