I am OBSESSED with dessert tables! I love coming up with creative and fun themes and backdrops for parties. As I plan a huge 30th birthday bash for myself and a friend for next March, a few baby showers, a bridal shower and a bachelorette party in the next year, I am finding many new inexpensive ways to create a backdrop for food tables, homemade photo booths or just to decorate the walls.
A simple pendant flag strip is an inexpensive backdrop that pops!
And speaking of balloons… three large balloons make a visual impact on this dessert table by Eat Drink Pretty. You could also do lots of inexpensive colorful balloons to create a backdrop on an outdoor table or a table with no wall behind it.
And you may remember this one from a baby shower I hosted last fall for one of my best friends. The photo quality isn’t great, but the cost was amazing. I made the poms out of tissue paper from Target for a total of $6 and our cohost Kate made the banner. Easy breezy, high impact!
And this idea is so fabulous to me that I have to show you two different but similar ideas and give you the details on where to buy the goods for a really low price!
Although the muted tones above are nice, I’m all for this colorful backdrop! Gorgeous!
You can find these pieces for as little as $1.75 from Luna Bazaar! Cluster a few pretty colors together and make it as large or small as you want. I’m loving this lime/plum/lilac and black combo.
i LOVE the 3 giant balloons….any idea where those can be purchased? i’m in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and I think you are too? Thanks!
Hey Libby! Aren’t they great?! I’ll check and will get back to you with a resource. Have a lovely day!
I always look forward to your new posts!!
