It might have been cuter, but possibly cheesy, if I would’ve titled this post FAB-ric, right? :)
I used a lot of Ikea fabric for Bodhi’s birthday. We used one pattern for the photo booth backdrop, another for table runners and still another for Bodhi’s DIY birthday teepee. The one thing that is true about all three is that the fabrics are thick and strong-perfect for almost any project. I definitely see some DIY curtains in my future.
Hildis ($5.99/yd)—this cute dotted fabric was perfect for the backdrop for B’s party. I also framed some for a gallery wall specifically for the party. That art will now make its way up to the playroom.
Ludovika ($3.99/yd)—I love this playful pattern. It could be very sweet on a throw pillow in a little girl’s room.
Annbeth ($7.99/yd)—Simple stripes! This is a soft, feminine stripe pattern that could work well with other patterns in a room.
Tidny ($7.99/yd)—I was drawn to the little airplanes and towns on this fabric. I am also itching to design a gender-neutral nursery and this pattern could be a fun addition. I always like to add pops of color and this fun print would lend itself to playful pops throughout the room.
Sofia ($7.99/yd)—This wide striped fabric is available in several colors. We used the black and white fabric as table runners for B’s birthday and this orange one is in our playroom.
Have you used Ikea fabrics for projects before? For the price, it is definitely home decor fabric quality and is a great option.
