Bodhi and I were invited to the pre-screening of Minions in 3D with General Mills this week. We had a great night. There is nothing quite as fun as getting alone time with my big boy. It’s rare and such a treat.
I remember a week or so after Ezra was born, things were going really well, but I couldn’t shake this gross feeling of missing Bodhi so bad and wanting to hold him. I was incredibly joy-filled over the birth of our baby and was feeling really great but I almost grieved the loss of having only one child and having time with him alone, if that makes any sense. As weeks and months passed, things improved. And now that Ezra is one and I can leave him a bit more, I am able to get plenty of good time with both boys. I haven’t felt that loss in a long time, but it was something pretty unexpected for me.
We don’t get to many movies these days so it was an extra special experience.
Why General Mills?
Just in time for their new movie to take the summer box office, General Mills has teamed up with the Minions to offer exclusive Minions Buddies in every specially marked box of General Mills cereals! And they are adorable! Bodhi was gifted a few extras and he loves them! I, of course, can’t help but think of ways to use the little Minions in a Minions themed party. ;) They have a string on the top so they could be adorable on a party garland. I digress. ;)
General Mills is once again connecting fans with what they love. Hidden inside each box, you will find one of six select Minions Buddies about to hit the big screen. Minions and cereal fans alike can collect all six Buddies in each participating brand of General Mills cereals, including Honey Nut Cheerios, Banana Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Reese’s Puffs, Trix and Golden Grahams. General Mills also launched a new berry banana flavored Minions cereal to celebrate the partnership.
General Mills has been surprising families with free prizes in cereal boxes for more than 80 years. From secret wrist bands to whistles and mini license plates to free paint sets, getting something special inside the box is part of the heritage of iconic General Mills cereal brands including, Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Trix and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
The specially marked boxes of Big G cereals hit shelves in June – but for a limited time only! General Mills has additionally released specially marked packing of participating Betty Crocker fruit flavored snacks, including Fruit Roll-Ups, Fruit by the Foot and Gushers.
General Mills wants you to see the movie too! We are partnering with them on a giveaway of a $25 Fandango gift card to see the movie and a box of participating cereal, fruit snacks and extra minions buddies. US residents only.
