I know all of the baby firsts are so amazing, but I’m finding that celebrating firsts (or seconds) with Bodhi at 18 months is so much more exciting. I love watching him laugh, enjoy and talk about new experiences. It is no longer us just watching him do things, he really celebrates them too.
Bodhi enjoyed his first presidential election so much. His firsts included:
1. Going to our polling place and “helping” us vote.
2. Shouting out our preferred presidential candidate’s name as others were voting nearby. I was embarrassed and slightly entertained at the same time.
3. Wearing an “I voted” sticker.
4. Dinner with exciting election coverage in the background.
This was a minor first for Bodhi since it wasn’t as exciting as say, a day at the pumpkin patch, but still so much fun. What are some of your favorite “firsts” with your children?
