I had a Fall wedding five years ago this October. So, the crisp autumn weather, the smells, sights and sounds plus the warm colors that make fall weddings lovely all hold a special place in my heart.
My cousin is planning her wedding for sometime next year. I put together a pretty rose gold inspired look earlier this summer for her wedding in case she decides on a summer wedding. She doesn’t have a date yet, but if it did end up being a fall wedding, I love the idea of warm ivory and neutral tones mixed with pops of fall colors in the flowers, shoes and centerpieces.
I put together the look above partially as what I would do if I were to do my own wedding all over again and also for inspiration for my cousin’s wedding and bridal party looks. While I love color. I like it best as an unexpected pop. I’d throw in a bright yellow, orange or red pair of shoes on each bridesmaid and if I were the bride, I’d splurge on some fabulous bright colored shoes.
I’d also mix in a fun and super classy s’mores bar. I have a friend who had a beautiful s’mores bar and I’ve wanted one at my parties ever since.
I love the classy look of the bridal dress above mixed with a brownish grey bridesmaid dress. Maybe being a mom is getting to me, or maybe my style has just changed, but I’m starting to appreciate long bridesmaid dresses again, especially ones with modest necklines. I went through a phase where I only preferred cocktail dresses for bridesmaids (including my own wedding).
Shane Co. jewelry is the perfect addition to bridal party attire. From bridesmaid gifts to bridal jewelry for the main lady, Shane Co. Jewelry has options for all. And I love all of their freshwater pearl choices.
I also have my own Pinterest boards started sharing some awesome Fall wedding trends. While I’m not planning a wedding right now, this board also serves as great inspiration for fall parties or events.
