Happy happy Friday! I’m so excited to share a few details and a video of the first wedding I planned after leaving my job and launching my business(es). Ali and Matt hired me just a few months before their wedding and trusted me completely with their big day. What a joy it was to work with such a beautiful couple inside and out.

Full disclosure: Ali is a former colleague turned VERY good friend turned client (and now back to friend-hooray!).

Ali’s vision was to have an elegant affair with many traditional elements and a few fun, not-so-traditional elements. I’m going to start you off with this gorgeous video by my dear friend Joe of Joe Pollock Films. If you are in Minneapolis and need a wedding videographer or a videographer for anything, Joe is amazing to work with and is definitely up and coming in the Twin Cities wedding scene!

I worked with Joe before he left our corporate gig to become a full-time Yogi/videographer. Amazing, right? And just two years later, he’s rockin’ it. I can’t say enough good things about him and his work speaks for itself.

Now on to some photos. Jan Kentala Photography is responsible for all of this beauty! Ali’s mom is a photographer and Jan was her choice for her daughter’s big day. That says a lot about Jan.

Passed hors de oeuvres along with wine and champagne with raspberries set the mood at the cocktail hour.

The paper products, designed by A&P Designs, were so lovely and working with Alicia (The A of A&P) was wonderful!

The Matron-of-Honor’s mother made the delicious and beautiful rosette wedding cake.

A simple but sophisticated and manly cigar bar was one of the fun details. Ali wanted escort cards with locations that were important to the couple. She worked hard to seat people at tables named after locations that were important to them.

The photo booth props were so much fun to find. I spent a lot of time on Etsy trying to find the perfect mix of items with custom colors. Itty Bitty Weddings came through. Besides doing our custom colors (which many wouldn’t consider), she sent a handful of extra items just because. How sweet?!

I was absolutely in love with the linens that Ali ended up with from Linen Effects. They added just the right amount of texture to the rooms.

Lastly, this gorgeous couple is made up of two of the sweetest people around. Ali, Thank you so much for supporting me in the early stages of my new career and for trusting me with one of the biggest most important days of your life. My team had so much fun on your wedding day! CHEERS to Ali, Matt, LOVE and the weekend!
