Today I’m sharing our Cue the Confetti themed pink and gold baby shower. You can see our preview here and download your free printables here. Read on for more details.

We had three main features—a dessert table (duh), a coffee bar and a champagne/sparkling water bar.

As I mentioned before, I teamed up with Cassie of ChubbyMama Cupcakes on a pink and gold baby shower for her fabulous sister Mandi recently. Cassie is incredibly talented when it comes to baking and decorating cakes. Remember my Christmas rosette cake? That was Cassie. And she is due with her third child, a boy, in just a few weeks, so the fact that she helped plan this, made the cake etc… having two kids and being pregnant completely amazes me. Her little guy is SUPER close in age with Bodhi, so trust me. I know what goes on behind closed doors with these wild little men. Well, let’s get started, shall we?

Here are a few details from the dessert bar.

The shower was at 10 a.m. so we did brunch including donut holes in cute gold cups, quiche, fresh fruit, a coffee bar, a champagne and sparkling water bar and lots of dessert. This shower was a lot of fun and the decor was glamorous, but also very eclectic!

The event was hosted at a very cool urban loft-like space called The Engine Room in downtown Minneapolis with exposed brick, hardwood floors, random vintage furniture pieces and high open-beam ceilings. We worked hard not to over decorate because the exposed brick etc… was so beautiful on it’s own. For example, we debated about putting something in those gold frames—confetti garland, fabric, other stuff, but felt like the simplicity was really quite lovely. What do you think?

And now on to the champagne/sparkling water bar.

Sadly, I never grabbed a shot of the entire coffee bar, but I’ll share with you what it had. We had a Keurig with a large selection of coffees and teas. We had several flavored creamers and plain creamer in cute white creamer jars and sugar in an apothecary jar. Love! And the simple but sweet cups with rock candy as a sweetener. We had a second large gold frame from Ali’s wedding that we used on the coffee bar the same way we did on the champagne bar.

We used my gold chargers from Christmas as centerpieces with confetti, bud vases, flowers, gold spray-painted elephants and a simple votive. This was our very subtle nod to the baby’s nursery which will incorporate elephants.

The invitation was designed by Grace & Guy Paperie. We also used it as a way for people to know which door to enter through since this was a downtown space intermixed with other businesses.

And the DIY photo booth wall definitely got great use. Here are just a couple of MANY photos. The little man in the photo below is one of Bodhi’s good buddies and they are just one month apart in age. His mama and I had maternity leave together so these boys have lots of photos together at outdoor rooftop restaurants from our fun maternity leave summer. Such a sweet boy! And he’s going to be a big brother in just a few weeks.

Lastly, the lovely mama-to-be and her sister (and host) Cassie and their beautiful mama.
