Hello and happy Monday! We just returned from our six-day vacation on Captiva Island and we feel refreshed. I’ll share a lot of details from the trip soon including a review of the resort. But first…

I’m sharing the details from Bodhi’s modern stripes and dots cow birthday party. It’s already been a couple of weeks since the first post. Can I be honest with you? Uploading photos and sorting through them is hard work! It takes so much time. I had good intentions, but here we are. And because we have SO many great photos, there will be a few more party posts in the coming days. If you haven’t already seen the dessert table, swing by this post for all of the details. Today, I’m going to let the photos by Melissa Oholendt Photography do the talking for the most part.

The cow gallery wall was made up of things we already had other than the cute cow sign by Shannon. The large wall hanging is from Ikea and was $9.99 a while back. We bought if for Bodhi’s playroom at the time because he loved it and it definitely helped me decide on green as an accent color for this party.

I made all of the garland you see everywhere. It was all very easy. I just used a scissors, bakers twine, scrapbook paper and a hot glue gun for some of them. This is a great way to make a decor statement without spending much time or money.

Yippee!

I borrowed one of the kids tables and the dark chairs from my friend  Lisa. We owned the other table and the white chairs and I purchased the green ones from a garage sale a few months ago and just spray painted them. So nice! I got the chairs for $6 (for two).

The topiary trees are from Home Goods. I loved them and originally bought them for our fireplace months ago, but they worked perfect for the party.

Party favors were books. We gave each guest The Story of Ferdinand wrapped in simple paper, a striped ribbon and finished off with a cow silhouette made out of scrapbook paper. I used Ikea picture ledges to display them on our foyer table.

Pure joy!
