Hello! My husband and I are off on a weekend getaway starting tomorrow morning, to celebrate our third anniversary. We’re headed to Vail, Colorado for a relaxing weekend, hopefully filled with hiking, walks, great views, a spa visit or two, dinners and cocktails. It’s a bit of the off-season in Vail, so we were able to snag a great deal at the Four Seasons resort. Like, a really really great deal that is available on their website now if you are looking for an escape (Stay one night, get the second night free). When we saw this, we jumped on it because we couldn’t decide where to go this year. We just booked it on Tuesday! I’m a bit surprised that we got such a good deal since we are expecting to see something like this! How is THIS the off-season? Pure beauty…

While the trip is about fun, relaxation and celebrating our lovely three years of wedded bliss, four years since we got engaged and five years since we first met, I do hope to squeeze in a bit of work.

I’m hoping to get a quick tour of the resort from a family perspective. I’ll let you know if that happens. And if it doesn’t happen, I’ll still review this resort on how family friendly the location is even if I don’t get a chance to see kids areas and the fun little additions the resort provides in family rooms. I’ve heard great things about this chain of resorts on the family friendly factor though.

We are getting to the point with Bodhi that we are pretty ready and excited to take him places. And by the way, we are getting sad to leave him for almost three days (only two nights though. Thank goodness!). I’ll miss kissing those chunky little cheeks before bed!

I digress. He enjoys car rides (FINALLY!), understands when we are going places, loves to see new things and would enjoy mountains, ocean, beaches etc… so I’ll be looking for the best family friendly resorts going forward. :)

If you have any recommendations, let me know. Our actual anniversary is next week so hopefully we’ll celebrate again with a loverly movie night in and some champagne. Have a wonderful weekend!
