Bodhi’s gallery wall is complete! I used a lot of free or inexpensive items for it and will share all of the resources at the bottom of this post. Please consider pinning an image to Pinterest if you love it!

Travel and maps provided most of the inspiration, but I also wanted to give it an encouraging/motivational feel so added the adventure print and the I can & I will print.

The vintage postcards add a lot of color! The top one is from Lahaina on the island of Maui, Hawaii that we picked up on our honeymoon and you can see Chicago and New York City fairly clearly.

We used the Young House Love approach for hanging this wall. They have all of the details there, so swing by if you need more than these photos to explain the steps. This was the easiest way I’ve ever hung anything. Worked like a charm.

If you use shelves like we did, pull the paper off before completely screwing them in. Some paper got stuck underneath and I had to unscrew it to get it out. No biggie, but just a helpful tip.

Sorry for the glare above. It was a super sunny day. And in Minnesota, we’ll take it! So. Over. Winter!

I had been eyeing this clock from Urban Outfitters for a while. But at $49, it wasn’t going to happen. Then on one of my many Ikea trips lately, I found this one for $9.99. Totally works!

Not the best photo above, but I wanted you to see the bookshelves as well. They have been so much fun for Bodhi. It’s a full wall, but the rest of the room balances it all out. I’ll show you more soon.

You can see the Mod Podge canvas above and a little green elephant I spray painted. I actually forgot to add the canvas when I first photographed the wall, but it’s there now and helps fill up the larger shelf. The elephant was an easy way to add a pop of color.

And last, but not least, I have the worst handwriting in the world, but this is how I plan out my walls before laying it out. It really helps me as I gather things for the wall.

I also laid it out and put it on Instagram for some design advice. My friend Brandi from Little Brim Baby suggested I move the clock and she was dead on with that idea! Thanks Brandi!

What do you think? Bodhi’s reaction was “Oh my!” He definitely loved it, but was most drawn to the green elephant. No surprise there. He is, after all, not even two years old.

Resources

Nyttja frames in varying sizes and colors for large art work, I can & I will print and vintage post cards ($1.99 to $9.99)-Ikea
Ribba picture ledge used in the gallery wall and for book shelves ($9.99)-Ikea
A is for Adventure print ($0)-Free printable from On to Baby
I can & I will chalkboard print ($0)-Free printable from A Sweet Spot Home
Oh the places you’ll go map print ($15)-Ink of Me on Etsy. I’ll be sharing more about this awesome Etsy shop soon. I think the map print is the focal point even though it’s in the corner. Love it so much!
World clock ($9.99)-Ikea. I can’t find it online, but I just bought it. I’m guessing it’s available at most stores.
Green elephant ($1)-came from a pack of animals at Michaels.
FLY ($12 per letter)-Urban Outfitters. I consider this a big splurge. I can make these letters, but loved them and just went for it when Urban had free shipping.
City I Love print ($6.78)-the book was a gift and I just used the book jacket for art. I’m doing that with several book jackets for the play room too. At this age, kids just wrinkle and ruin the jackets anyway. I’ve been saving all of them since he was little in his closet not knowing what to do with them.
Green B ($4)-Pottery Barn Kids on clearance. I just painted it green.
Vintage and vintage-looking postcards ($1)-We always buy these when we travel and I had them saved in a drawer. I have a few more going in the room as well.
Yellow weiner-dog ($8)-Purchased on a trip to Watercolor, Florida when I was 5-months pregnant.
Canvas photo of Bodhi ($2)-I received free Mod Podge materials recently as a part of a campaign so only had to pay for printing the photo and the mini canvas.

That’s a wrap, friends! I’m just hoping to add an airplane in here somewhere-perhaps an airplane print, or maybe an airplane figurine of some sort. More to come on the big boy room soon. It’s very close to complete finally! Have a great week!
